College Planning Specialists Testimonials

Ron & Joyce Jimenez

Ron Caruthers, Ed Sanderson, and the College Planning Specialists Staff showed me how pay off all our bills, pay for college for both of our kids, get needed repairs on our house and get a ramp for my wife’s wheel chair without messing up our current lifestyle. I couldn’t believe it when they got everything handled and saved me $148.78 per month.

Our daughter, Nicole, has dreamed of studying journalism at a private university for as long as I can remember. We weren’t sure if we could afford to send both of our kids to college, let alone a private school, but with the Ed’s help we were able to accomplish our goal.

Anyway, what can we say, Ed Sanderson and his financial planning team helped me get $18,549 of free money per year at Point Loma (which has a price tag of $30,352 per year!!!). That’s $74,196 over four years!

With the stress of paying for college out of the way I can spend my time taking care of my wife, my kids, and my business. I will sleep better at night knowing that my kid’s future is taken care of!

Our Family Can Afford to Send Our Daughter to University of San Francisco for…….$553 per month. That’s Less Than a Car Payment for Crying Out Loud! We Got $87,796 in FREE Money Thanks To Ed Sanderson, Ron Caruthers, and the College Planning Specialists Staff!

We first met Ron Caruthers and Ed Sanderson back in the summer of 2004. Our daughter Celine was about to be a senior at the San Dieguito Academy and we were beginning to get concerned about how to pay for college.

An acquaintance of mine at the salon I go to, Susan Ashling, happened to mention what they had done for her daughter Erica, and told me to give them a call.

Well, let me tell you, thank goodness we listened to her! We were in for a real shock when Ed (one of College Planning’s great counselors) told us that, because we own a successful business and some property, our ‘Expected Family Contribution’ would be $91,672………a YEAR……if we didn’t do any planning! Yikes! (Ron’s note: if you don’t know what an EFC, or expected family contribution is, you NEED to get to one of my classes immediately! No joking!)

We thought it would be hopeless, but then Ed, Ron and the College Planning Staff came to the rescue!

A couple of meetings later, they legitimately had our EFC down to $6,636. Our daughter has since decided to go to the University of San Francisco…so we went from being totally ineligible to get any aid, to getting $29,574 per year. That’s $118,796 over four years. And $87,796 of that is FREE money that we never have to pay back

Yaaaaaaaaaa……y!

Thank you all so much! And Celine LOVES USF. What a school! We were completely impressed!
